Q: What are your initial thoughts on this years Duke team?
JJ: I love this year’s Duke team. They play really, really hard and play together. We are off to a great start and unlike in year’s past I think this team is going to peak in March.
Q: Since your on the road a lot…What’s your favorite thing to do when you stay at hotels??
JJ: Not a whole lot to do at the hotels we stay at. I am prone to cabin fever so I like to get out of the hotel and walk around the cities a lot. My favorite cities to walk around are San Francisco, New York, Charlotte, and Birmingham, Michigan (we stay in Birmingham when we play Detroit).
Q: How fun is to work with dwight howard? Have you guys played any good pranks on any teamates? (Kev)
JJ: Dwight’s a fun guy to play with and a fun guy to be around. Our team is constantly joking around and giving each other a hard time so there are literally pranks played on guys on a daily basis.

During the offseason, between your Soph and Junior year, what did you days consist off? Between basketball, working out, your everyday lifestyle, and your eating habits, just give me an example of your daily routine. The dedication to your body, the shape you came back in, was sick! Just wondering how you did it, how you stayed focus even though at the time you were already successful coming of a final four appearence., and just so you know, you were by far the best college basketball player I’ve ever seen! Nobody can take that away from you, nobody, eventhough they won’t give you a chance to prove yourself in the NBA. Don’t doubt yourself, stay on the same path, and 3 years from now, you’ll average 20 a game, as a starter playing 35 plus min a game!

Hey JJ, I got an extra ticket for you for Duke @ WFU. We owe them one from last year. I think the last time we won there you were playing.

I too think that duke will peak in March, they seem to be a real tight bunch and I think that this is going to be a great year for Duke, in terms of them winning a championship. It must be great to see different places on a weekly or at least monthly basis ,
Congrats on the magics success it sounds like you too have a tight group of players, pranks and teammates come hand in hand, that’s gotta be fun for you.
Good Luck to you, the Magic AND Duke in the games to come.
Have a great rest of the week and the weekend!!!

JJ,
I completely agree with you on this year’s Duke team. Gerald has really stepped his game up and given us the offense they need. Since “we” have so much depth on the bench this year they won’t be as tired as they were last season. Go Duke!
