JJ answers questions from fans
Q: Hey J.J. you seem like a big music guy, are you planning to go see “NOTORIOUS”?!? Speaking of music what would be your stage name if you were an artist? :)
JJ: Very good question. I won’t see “Notorious” in the theaters – although I’ve heard good things about it. I’ll wait for it to come out on DVD. I’ve thought a lot about my stage name over the years (I wanted to be an artist for a couple years) and came up with “John Clay”. It’s simple and doesn’t try to hard to be hip.
Q: Sort of a random question here, but what the heck. What kind of hair product do you use to keep your hair in place all game?
JJ: Very funny question. And it’s a question that people ask me all the time. The truth is I use very little product but instead rely on a simple, yet effective procedure. I take a little bit of stick wax and rub it on my palms and fingers. I run my hands thru my a few times then take a towel (this is the key) and rub the towel over my hair for two or three seconds. The towel leaves my hair in a messy “fro” but it gives me something to work with. Then I style my hair accordingly. All in all the process takes 30 seconds to a minute.
Q: Do you own your Dream Car JJ? If not, what is it?
JJ: I actually do not own my dream car. I have had three cars since I’ve been in the NBA- a BMW 750Li (which was totaled), a Cadillac Escalade, and my current ride- a Range Rover Supercharged Westminister Edition. I have always “dreamed” of having a Range Rover but it is not my dream car. My dream ride would be an Aston Martin DB9 or a Ferrari F430.

Hey JJ! I love Ferraris too. My cousin has an F40 and an Enzo. He lives in Denver. So if you are ever out that way and want to play in some fast cars, send me an email and I will hook you up. (Though I am a little nervous since you have already totaled a car…haha!)

Hi, I’ve been a big fan of JJ since he was in Duke…like most. Although it was a bit harder for me to follow since I live in mexico and we didn’t get as much college hoops as we do now. But I just wanna say that I think that U’r an amazing player! I follow the magic as much as i can. And I really hope I get the chance soon to go and see U play live. I think it’d be the best sport experience!!!

JJ, I think Duke can pull off a win against Carolina Wednesday. But, if you were still in the line up I would say it would be a no brainer. All Duke has to do is shut down Hansborgh and start lighting it up from the field. Than, they have this game in the bag. Hopefully they can just kill Carolina so I can rub it in all the Carolina fans faces. Oh and get this, one year the kids at my school are Maryland fans, next thing you know they are Carolina fans. Crazy or What!

Your bud Adam Morrison got traded from the Bobcats. We’ll miss him, but we want you to fill his role for the Bobcats. In Charlotte, you will have a large fan base, and we would love to be able to watch you in person again. Dude, seriously, Orlando doesn’t give you the PT you deserve. Quite frankly, I think they’re afraid to put you in because you would light the place on fire. Also, the humidity in Orlando isn’t optimal for a shooter of your caliber, Charlotte is a perfect fit for you, and you are a perfect fit for Charlotte. You the man, I plan to see you wearing orange and blue soon.

Hey, JJ! I won’t be seeing that movie either. It’s not my type of movie. I mostly like the action and violent sort of movie :). So, you wanted to be an artist? Are you a good singer? I’ve always wanted to know that for some reason hahahaha. I like John Clay. That sounds pretty awesome. You should be Jay Clay. That would be so cute and it rhymes. I’ve always wanted to know how you get your hair like that. It’s awesome that it takes so short to do your hair but it looks so amazing, like it takes hours to do. That’s sort of like with my hair cause I have really curly hair and when your hair is really curly it takes a long time to make it actually look good and not all poofy, but I just shampoo my hair then put this gel stuff for curly hair in while my hair is still wet and good. You have seriously like the most amazing hair ever. I love it so much. I saw your Escalade in the “Day in the life of an NBA rookie” video. That was a nice car. I want a Ferrari too. They’re awesome. Well, I hope you’re doing great and I hope to hear from you soon. I love you.

I like John Clay it is simple but I like it! I love that somebody asked about you hair, it is amazing how it stays up the whole game! were you in the car when it was totaled? I hope not, well the Range Rover is a nice car…what color is it? well congrats on the big 24 min. game I think that we will be seeing a lot more of you on the court, much more contestant playing time than we’ve been seeing, but I know that you will seize the moment and opportunity and make good (great but make great did not sound right) of you time and really help contribute to the team (they need you) GOOD LUCK and go magic!! peace and love always, kestrel
