Q: If your vote was the only one that counted, who are your all-star starters and first 3 players off the bench for each team?
JJ: There are too many good choices to name 8 for each conference- but I’ll give you my starters for each conference based on individual AND team performance.
Western Conference Starters:
Chris Paul (Chauncey is a close, close second)
Kobe Bryant
Dirk Nowitzki
A’mare Stoudemire
Tim Duncan (because he really is a center)
Eastern Conference Starters:
Jameer Nelson (if healthy, Jameer would be my starter because he is the heart of our team)
Dwayne Wade
Lebron James
Kevin Garnett
Dwight Howard
For the most part, the fans got it right. I mean, Duncan is listed as a forward on the ballot and Yao is deserving of starting at center and in the East you can’t really argue with Iverson starting because he is a Hall of Famer and one of the greatest guards ever. He should get a permanent spot on the All-Star roster for as long as he plays.
Q: JJ, When you were in high school what college gave you your first offical offer and what year were you? (Ty)
JJ: My first official offer was at the end of my freshman year. I was 14 years old and the offer came from Wake Forest. About 3 months later (I had turned 15 but hadn’t started my sophomore season), UVA offered me a scholarship. Both are great schools but I had my eyes set on Duke.
Q: Yes nutrition! what do you eat for lunch and dinner on a regualar basis? (Ryan, Knoxville)
JJ: What do I eat for lunch and dinner? I like to vary what I eat, but in general I like to eat a salad or some fruit with a turkey sandwich for lunch. Dinner is tougher to pinpoint. I literally love all types of food but as much as I love red meat I try to limit my intake. I probably eat a steak or a burger once or twice a month. I eat a lot of fish and sushi and a lot of grilled chicken dishes. I also ENJOY eating vegetables with dinner- some of favorites are sweet potatoes, squash, broccoli, asparagus, and spinach.

Hey JJ I am 13 years old in a small town in Illinois. I am a huge Duke fan and i have always dreamed of shooting a basketball just like you. i am a 86% free throw shooter and you are the best pure shooter. So let me get this straight, a game tying shot on Tuesday, 14 points on Wednesday, 10 points last night but when I skip a day of law school classes and drive 4 hours to see you play on Friday all while enduring endless heckling from my UNC fan boyfriend and his friends, you can’t score at all? It’s a good thing your good looks made it all worthwhile. Good luck with the rest of the season!

Hey JJ, I have enjoyed watching you get more minutes here in Orlando, keep up the hard work! What a big 3 for you the other night against Charlotte, it was awesome! Good luck on your upcoming road trip and GO MAGIC!

Hey JJ, just got back from the Charlotte game and wanted to say congrats on that huge 3! That was the best moment of the entire season so far at the arena. Also, it was nice to meet you at Disney. That was very exciting for me. Take care and good luck the rest of the way. Glad you’re getting so much playing time lately.

Hey JJ! I like the starters except I would have you on there, I agree with you on Iverson you made a good point with him. I live 40 min. from UVA and I have never been a fan (cause I’m a Duke fan) so thanks for picking Duke (hahaha). Eating healthy is always good , I like veggies but no thanks to the broccoli. keep a positive attitude and good luck in the games to come!! peace and love kestrel

I still don’t get why the Pistons traded Chauncey. That’s puzzling. Keep up the good work!

Ah, man!! Did we have to talk about food an hour before lunch??
Like you, I shy away from the red meat and more towards the fish and grilled chicken. I love veggies, too, but I’ll pass on the asparagus!! Blech. I couldn’t stand the stuff when I went to Purdue and still can’t.
